Did you know that chemical cleaners are ruining your health? They’re also terrible for your glass surfaces, causing streaks and smudges that natural cleaners can avoid. Proof that sometimes the best things in life are free! Here are three of the best DIY windows cleaners for you and your surfaces:
Water & Vinegar
Allow the vinegar to remove films and streaks from glass. Mix equal parts vinegar and water and pour into a spray bottle for easy application. Spray the solution to your windows, glass doors, glass tops, you name it – wipe the surface with a clean cloth.
Borax & Cornstarch
Start by making a natural window cleaner using 2 tbsps of borax and 3 cups of water. Apply the solution to your glass surface and wipe clean. Next, rinse the glass with vinegar (again, to avoid streaks). Or fill a gallon bucket with water and mix 2 tbsps of cornstarch and a half cup of vinegar to wipe dry.
Lemon juice is like vinegar in the sense that it eliminates grease and polishes the surface without streaks or smudges. So try mixing 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to 1 quart of warm water. Spray the solution and wipe dry.
