Step 1: Acquire Proper Materials

To begin the journey to a world of spotless windows, you’ll need to acquire the proper tools. Instead of a spray bottle and paper towels, you’ll need the following essentials:

  • Squeegee
  • Window cleaning solution
  • A bucket large enough to fit the squeegee
  • Microfiber cleaning cloth

Step 2: Start Cleaning

Before you streak the window and make an utter mess, it’s important to wet the squeegee with water first. Once this step is complete, take the squeegee and lightly dip it in the large bucket filled with window cleaning solution. After that step is complete, it’s time to squeegee the window.

Step 3: Keep a Pattern

Instead of dragging the squeegee violently across the window’s surface, start from a corner at the top of the window pane. When cleaning with the squeegee, it’s important to swipe from top to bottom only — or else water will start dripping across the clean surface.

Step 4: Repeat the Process

If you feel as though your window isn’t clean enough, repeat the process. Sometimes if a window hasn’t been cleaned in a long time, it will host a ~wonderful~ array of thick residue. To thoroughly clean your window, just repeat the steps from above. In no time, you’ll have those clean, clear windows you always longed for!

Step 5: Dry It Up

After completing the steps mentioned above, it’s time to dry your window. When you complete this step of the process, take a microfiber cloth and wipe down the window’s surface in a similar top-to-bottom pattern. This will not only be a faster alternative to letting it air dry but will also leave you with a streak-free shine!
